To verify using HTML Meta Tag follow the steps below:

  1. Log in to https://pinterest.com with your Pinterest account. Click the dropdown menu next to your profile icon in the top right and click on Settings.
  2. Click on “Claim” tab. And enter your website URL in claim box.
  3. Select the Meta Tag option. And copy the meta tag.
  4. Paste the Meta Tag in head section of your website or blog.

Verify By Uploading HTML File

To verify your website by uploading HTML file follow the steps below:

  1. Log in to https://pinterest.com with your Pinterest account. Click the dropdown menu next to your profile icon in the top right and click on Settings.
  2. Click on “Claim” tab. And enter your website URL in claim box.
  3. Select the Upload HTML File option. Download the HTML file.
  4. Go to the file manager of your website. Upload this file in root directory. That means where you index.html or index.php file is located. In wordpress this is in htdocs folder.
  5. Go back to pinterest. Click on next and submit for review. Pinterest will review your website if it is verified Pinterest will inform you within 24 hours.

Verify Using TXT DNS Record

To verify your site using TXT Record follow the steps below:

  1. Log in to https://pinterest.com with your Pinterest account. Click the dropdown menu next to your profile icon in the top right and click on Settings.
  2. Click on “Claim” tab. And enter your website URL in claim box.
  3. Select the Add TXT Record option. And copy the TXT Record.
  4. Go do your domain provider. Click on your domain and go to DNS Records. Select TXT record type. And paste the copied record as Destination or Target Host or Target IP Address. Then save your DNS Records.
  5. Go back to pinterest. Click on next and submit for review. Pinterest will review your website if it is verified Pinterest will inform you within 24 hours.
